When life is falling apart from separation and divorce what’s there to be thankful for?
I mean really?
Be thankful that God has a plan to give you hope and a future…
‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ Jeremiah 29:11
Be thankful that the Lord is your refuge…
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. Psalm 34:8
Be thankful that you can receive guidance from the Lord…
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
Be thankful that God loves you and has compassion for you…
Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you. Isaiah 54:10
Be thankful that God sent Jesus for you…
For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17
Thanksgiving is healing. Even if you don’t feel particularly blessed right now, speak words of thanks to God. Being thankful blesses and lifts your spirit.
Christian Thought for the Day
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
